Sustainable Development Goals for the inclusion of young people with disabilities aims at contributing to the creation of a suitable environment to make young people with and without disabilities aware of the environmental sustainability of the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting an active dialogue among EU young people with and without disabilities, building future active and aware citizens of the EU, enhancing at the same time an effective inclusion of PWD, enabling young people to play an active role in the community and the environment at local, European and international level.

SDGsIY aims to provide youth workers with knowledge, competencies, and skills to exploit digital tools to promote inclusive non-formal and informal education actions, pathways, and initiatives around the GOAL 13 of the SDGs.

The project seeks to increase awareness in local communities of the importance of GOAL 13, inviting youth workers and youth organizations in adopting the results reached. Another goal of the project is to increase awareness of young people and young people with disability on the importance of the GOAL 13 exploiting social media campaigns.

Project results

This plan is primarily aimed at disseminating the results of the project, which are listed below:

  • Result 1: Development of a Vademecum. R1 pretends to develop a Vademecum for inclusive social campaigns on the Goal 13, of the SDGs direct to youth workers. All the results will merge into the Vademecum in a format “easy to read”. Lead by FELCOS Umbria.

  • Result 2: Development of the training for youth workers to enhance the awareness of young people on the Goal 13. R2 will provide youth workers with knowledge, competence, and skills to exploit digital tools to promote inclusive non-formal and informal education actions, pathways, and initiatives around climate change. The Transnational Training will be about “An effective and inclusive social media campaign: main tools for youth workers to empower young people”. Lead by ECOM.

  • Result 3: Development of an inclusive social media campaign. R3 will be developed through the cooperation among young people with and without disabilities guided by the trained youth workers on how to develop an effective and inclusive social media campaign on the Goal 13. Lead by PREDIF.

  • Result 4: Organizing local events. R4 will raise awareness on the Goal 13 of the SDGs through the organization of two multiplier events, which will be arranged in Italy and Spain. The events will present the results of the project and will involve direct and indirect target groups in implementing the sustainability of the project and presenting the project to the main stakeholders at a national, regional, and local level, active in the fields of the proposal.
